Nelson Mandela's 46664 clothing line makes its U.S. Debut

Changing the politics of the world isn’t the only thing Nelson Mandela is known for these days. Nelson Mandela celebrated his 94th birthday in style this month by officially releasing his highly anticipated clothing line titled "466/64" in the United States. Revolutionizing international clothing seems to be Mandela’s most recent mantra.

Handfulls of fashion buyers and industry insiders watched as the colorful collection of men's and women's sportswear paraded down the New York runway last week. With a hint of Kenzo aesthetic, socially conscious angles (A percentage of 466/65 Fashion's sales will go to community projects throughout Africa) and new-aged bold prints, 466/64 has turned the heads of retailers and even Supermodels.

466/64 joined forces with supermodel Sam Sarpong. Being internationally known isn’t anything new for this supermodel turned actor. Sarpong has been in over 6 major fashion campaigns including Louis Vuitton, Jean Phillipe, Tommy Hilfiger and Levi’s. Despite Sarpong’s past accomplishments, he notes his relationship with 466/64 to be one of his most humbling experiences.

"This is the proudest moment of my modeling career. To be apart of such great high fashion, cutting edge brand is a blessing.Today is a dream come true for me."
You can shop the collection online and at specialty boutiques around the country. The line hits department stores racks in spring of 2013! http://us.46664fashion.com/brand
